Ever heard of Isabel Marant? She’s HUGE. In France. A title also coined by Netflix for its newest original comedy.
HUGE in France, depicts real-life French comedian Gad Elmaleh (or, simply GAD) playing a sitcom version of himself transitioning from a celebrity in France as an A-list comedian to a nobody on the U.S. comedy scene. The move from France to Los Angeles, spurred by a desire to be closer to his estranged ex-wife and teenage son, plays-up all the LA stereotypes. The laughs are mostly unintentional, but, when intended, it’s impossible to resist indulging in cheap jokes at the expense of the male model industry. A nod to the glory days of Zoolander.
If not for the laughs, it’s worth watching for the fashion. Vivian, the ex-wife played by Erinn Hayes, is smartly dressed throughout the show. Here’s a highlight reel of our favorite looks, along with Vivian-inspireditems in stock (should you be so inclined):
Overall, can’t say we’re HUGE fans, but fans nonetheless and certainly recommend watching.
